It is now the start of my second and last semester here at LHS. Winter break went by really fast for me, mostly because I was constantly busy whether it was shopping for presents, going to parties, or doing homework. During break the class I focused on the most was my AP Biology class. For each measurement topic we were assigned to read chapters from the textbook and answer questions in the end. I made the mistake of putting them off until the last minute, so I spent a lot of my time trying to catch up with those. When we returned to school we had three weeks before the end of the semester and that’s when things started to get out of hand. Teachers began assigning more work and test we had to finish before time ran out. I knew I had a lot to do to pass my classes, but I didn't want to stress myself out too much. I still had stuff to do for all my classes especially AP Biology. I still hadn’t finished those textbook questions because just like every other student I tend to procrastinate alot. Along with the chapters I also had essays to revise, but unfortunately it was too much and I wasn’t able to finish on time. One of the classes I did pass was pre-calculus. I was really proud of myself because pre-cal was the class that was that gave me the most trouble throughout the year, so to know that I passed was a big accomplishment for me. With the year being halfway over and ordering all of our graduation stuff I’m starting to realize that the end is really coming. Everybody’s getting accepted into different colleges and getting ready to go their own ways. In my last journal I had only gotten accepted into one college and was waiting to hear back from the rest and now I have, well almost. I got accepted into CSU Monterey Bay, but unfortunately got declined to CSU Long beach. I didn’t feel too bad about it because out of everybody that applied in the whole senior class about 4 got accepted. Now I’m just waiting to hear back from Sacramento. There are also lots of things I must get done for college, one of them being the placement test. I signed up to take the placement test in March in CSU Bakersfield and I plan on studying so I can feel confident on the test day. All of this college work on top of my school work can be very stressful so I have to learn to pace myself in order to become successful.
