When I was a freshman I never thought senior year would come. I would think about being the oldest kids at school, the other grades looking up to you, having your life planned out after high school, and just waiting to graduate. I thought that time would never come, but all I had to do was blink and now it’s here and it’s the start of my senior year at Lindsay High School. I didn’t want summer to end, but I have to admit that I had a pretty good one. I was able to travel to the east coast with a group of my friends where I visited Boston, New York, Philadelphia, and Washington D.C. and I also went to a Taylor Swift concert a few days before school started. Sadly the summer came to an end and we started school. We have now finished or second week of school and they have already been stressful for me with my new classes, homework, sports, and just thinking about my future.
The classes i’m currently taking are English, Economics, Pre-Calculus, Intermediate Guitar, AP Biology, Physics, and I’m also an office aid. Most of my teachers have already assigned worksheets, chapters to read, and more homework to be done. It’s a lot of work but I’m trying my best to keep up, especially in my Pre-Cal class which I find the most difficult right now. I’m hoping to stay on pace in my classes so I won’t be stressing at the end of the semester and hopefully get some level 4’s done as well. I also joined the tennis team which helps me get my mind off all my work. This is my third year and last year playing so I want to make the best of it. We have some new players this year so I’ve been helping them along the way. I’ve been practicing during the summer with my sister and now with my team so I’m excited to see how the season is going to go. I know people say that high school goes by really quickly and they’re not wrong, so I’m hoping to enjoy my last year with my friends and making fun memories throughout the year.
