Now with tennis, homecoming, and other big events done for a while it gives me more time for my school work, which I really need. College applications were also due this month so that got everyone a little stressed to make sure you had everything correct before submitting applications. I was able to apply to four CSU’s: Long Beach, Sacramento, Stanislaus, and Monterey Bay with a major in Liberal Studies. When choosing where to apply I had to make sure they offered my major and what kind of programs they had, rather then making sure I applied to the same ones as my friends. I also considered locations. I knew I didn't want to go to a community college and wanted to explore more and with my parent's support it made things easier. I decided to stay in California, but I wouldn't mind going to another state. I have already gotten accepted into one university and I’m anxious to hear from the rest.
Near the end of October my classes began giving me trouble, from the constant work being assigned or just not understanding the lessons. I’ve gotten a little behind with the work, but I know I can get it done before the semester is over. A new thing the school is doing now is Flex Time or "P.L.T.". I’m not sure how it’s going to turn out considering most of the students will look at it as a free period to spend time with their friends. During my extra period I’m planning on getting some help with Precalculus. I hope this extra time will help me get back on pace and better understand the work. With winter break and my favorite holiday coming up I know I'll be busy most of the time, but I’ll try my best not to procrastinate as much and get work done from every class so I can start the 2nd semester off on the right foot.
